The Childrenswear course is part of the full Pattern making course but can be studied independently.
The course includes lessons on childrenswear pattern making from the basic blocks for all sizes to a variety of children’s garment styles including toddlers.
An online tutor will support and guide you with your studies.
At the end of the course you will be able to make your own children’s collection.
Lessons
The Childrenswear pattern making course provides instructions on how to construct a variety of styles for children clothing including the all-in-one for babies, shorts, blouses, skirts, trousers and culottes. You can also make adaptations to the styles provided and create your own styles.
In this course, you will also learn about fabrics for pattern layout. You will find out how to best lay your pattern out for cutting and construction, and how to assemble your blocks into a complete garment. There are also self-assessment tests so you can check on your progress as you learn.

You will receive
When you register for the childrenswear course you will be given access to the Online Learning Space where you will see and study your lessons from your own location. You will be sent by post the AB Pattern Making Template, your tool to making your own patterns.
You will also be assigned an Online Tutor. The course is generally hands-on and as you progress you can send your work (through the Online Learning Space) to your Tutor, who will monitor your progress and provide you with feedback on your work.
The courses are organized in Learning Packages that show you what to expect from each learning batch that you will study.
OPTIONAL MATERIAL: In addition to your online registration, you can continue to have access to your lessons even after the official duration of your online access. Order the online courses at a minimum price for all online students, and get limitless access to your lessons. You can do that either when you register, or at any time during your studies.
